We explain how to make your promotion a success

We analyze your needs and create the personalized glass you need

One of the items that we can highlight within the promotions and company gifts and with which Everia we feel comfortable due to our great experience, are the personalized glasses. An original gift, totally customizable, at a low cost and with a relatively fast delivery time if we rely on existing glasses.

The origin of the glasses

The first thing I want to do is talk about the origin of the glasses. Although we have not seen it, we imagine the first glass of a primitive man, which was none other than their own hands joined together to form a bowl or cup. Human observation and experimentation itself would lead to more sophisticated containers such as horns, fruit shells, worked and poured pieces of wood, until, after years, pottery appeared and he began to make the first clay pots and glasses. In ancient times, it has been studied that in more developed cultures ceramic glasses have been made that we can consider as the origin of the glass. Subsequently, earthenware glasses and glasses evolved over time towards glasses made of metals and other alloys, and the first glasses became authentic collector's items. Although for many years the materials in which the glasses were made were wood, metal and natural containers such as fruit shells, for many years the material with which glasses are usually made is glass. Although we can usually see them, depending on the use, made in different plastics, paper, metal, aluminum or ceramic. We will talk in other posts about the evolution and history of glass, but we already anticipate and highlight some main characteristics why it is the "favorite" material for making glasses: hygiene, it does not retain odors or flavors, transparency, the possibility of being produced from automatic way, manufacturing cost, possibility of making shapes, colors, customizing ... there are many factors why glass is the basic material for glasses. Types of glasses Let's talk now about the types of glasses that we can see and how we can classify them and later, talk about the types of personalized glasses that we can make for a promotion. The classification possibilities are multiple. Depending on the theoretical or traditional use that we are going to give the glass, we can talk about glasses for water, wine, soda, cocktail, shot, beer ... a glass for everything and everything in your glass. We can now buy good cabinets to store all our glasses and be able to surprise your friends, especially those who understand everything when they come to your house for dinner. Making a second classification, this one much simpler, we can separate them by their shape and see glasses that are straight, conical, rounded, or with special shapes that combine several of the previous types, that is, for example, a part of the glass is straight and another is rounded. The latter have quite a few difficulties if we want to fully customize them since it complicates their entry into decoration machines. If we try to make a third classification we can do it by its height. Tall glasses or short glasses. If you've read this post so far, I don't think I have to explain these two types of glasses. If you want more information on this third classification, you can leave a comment and I will contact you. Finally and to finish this section and go fully to the part of personalized glasses, I would like to make a classification by capacity and we are going to do it in centiliters. The first large group are the glasses below 10 centiliters, they will coincide with glasses that will be used for shot or liquor. The personalized shot glass with the brand of pacharán that you like the most is between 3 and 6 centiliters. A personalized 10 centiliter shot glass are big words. The second group that we can differentiate would be between 10 and 20 centiliters. This capacity matches the glasses used for wine. A third group that ranges from 20 to 30 centiliters and which we normally use for water. Between 30 and 40 centiliters we will find the glasses that we use for the soft drink and to finish, from 40 centiliters we place the glasses that we use for large beers of those that we would like to drink with all our friends after we remove the mask and the COVID has gone. Do you know the capacity of a pint in a personalized beer glass with your favorite brand?

How are the glasses made? How can we customize them?

Do you know how a glass is made? Have you ever wondered? We are not going to extend much in this post and we will make a specific one for manufacturing glass for glasses. Making a brief summary, the manufacturing process of a glass begins with the raw material that is none other than sand with compositions specially studied by the factories. In the case of EVERIA, our reference is ARC, a world leader in the art of the table, which also invests heavily year after year in R&D in order to develop new materials with more transparency and resistance. This sand is put in a furnace at high temperatures, between 1400 and 1600 degrees to melt it. The result is a molten sand or vitreous paste in a liquid state that is subsequently carried through channels to a mold that gives it its shape. Later it cools down and we have the glass. Very quick summary, we will do another day a monograph on how glasses and glass goblets are made. How to customize glass tumblers We already have the glass manufactured, we are going to see and expand on the types of personalized glasses that we can make. If you've ever wondered where we can personalize glasses, at Everia we can help you.

How to create a promotional action from scratch

The first thing we can do is classify the types of decoration or personalization depending on the technique we use: • Screen printing: It is the most used technique for personalized glasses. The glasses go through several screens to receive the different colors and finish making the complete decoration. The personalized glass can have at the end of one to eight colors, from a logo to a photographic style. Within this technique we can find the following alternatives to a simple screen printing: •Thick screen printing: It is possible to personalize a glass with relief thanks to special inks. This technique is an alternative to personalize a glass and avoid creating a mold which is a strong investment. Thick screen printing can only be done in one color and the result is really interesting. • Inks thermosensitive to temperature: It is possible to use in our decorated glasses, inks sensitive to heat to change the color of part of the decoration in contact with a cold or hot liquid. • Organic phosphorescent Inks: It is possible to create a phosphorescent decoration with an effect that becomes visible in a dark environment, restores light and reacts to UV lamps. There is only one base color in natural light that will change to phosphorescent green, the yellowish yellow color. • Coloring inks: You can create a personalized glass with a decoration to be colored with colored pencils or erasable markers. These items are either for single use or to decorate multiple times depending on the types of colored pencils used. Highly recommended for decorated glasses in children's promotions. • Pad printing: This technique consists of decorating an item with a system similar to a stamp. There are two methods of pad printing: flat, which is used mainly to decorate plates or cylindrical. Both forms of personalization are very similar, but the latter is used to make hollow items such as personalized bowls or glasses. • Spraying: A personalized glass with this technique is carried out through a process that consists of covering all or part of it with opaque or translucent paint (matte / glossy / satin / metallic ...). It is possible to decorate with several colors one after another and combine this decoration technique for personalized glasses with screen printing in various colors. That is, we can make an article sprayed on one part (only the lower part or the foot of the glass) and place a logo in one or more colors on the upper part. It is a process that gives the personalized glass a high perceived value. • Filleting: The application of custom glass cutting edges can be based on color in inks, lead-free enamels or precious metals (gold / platinum). This technique is compatible with screen printing or pad printing. Very typical in personalized glasses for premium beers. • Carving: On a personalized glasee, the carving decoration process involves engraving a pattern on the glass using a small diamond disc. This process is carried out automatically in a machine and the small and precise diamond grinders cut the glass to give the decoration that the customer wants for their personalized glass. If we have managed to get you here, it is because you are really interested in making a personalized glass to make a business gift, for your promotion or to enhance your brand. At Everia we help you choose, depending on your budget, your delivery time or the characteristics of your company, the best solution. Send us your request and we will advise you professionally.
