Is a frying pan a good product to promote?

Before asking ourselves this question, we must ask another: is a frying pan a good product to promote?

The answer is resounding: yes. Our experience tells us that the pans, given their use in the kitchen and their perceived value, are a gift that is highly appreciated by the customers to whom the promotions are directed. If they can get them in a promotional dynamic, with points, a scratch card, a good discount or a gift, the goal is achieved.

The best material for frying pans

Once you have decided to make a promotion with a frying pan as a gift or a set of these, the question that we pose in the title is answered in turn with another question. What is the budget we have? Once we have the answer we have to see where we invest it. Is the price of the product proportional to the quality? It is clear that yes. Raw material and its manufacturing process, type of handle, background and type of fire for which the product will be valid and quality of the non-stick are the key points that we have to focus on to make our choice. Painted steel, enameled steel, stainless steel, pressed aluminum, forged, cast or cast iron, are the materials and processes most used in the manufacture of pans. Each one has its characteristics and advantages and normally, depending on the thicknesses and sizes used, the price varies. More thickness equals more raw material and therefore more manufacturing cost. Aesthetics also play an important role in choosing the type of frying pan as each manufacturing process has a distinctive look and finish. Important to reference and highlight the validity for induction. It is an essential requirement at this time that a frying pan is valid for induction to be accepted by promotional customers. Later we will see that it is linked to the type of bottom we use, but it is worth investing a little more in the product to make it valid for induction since it is possible that if the frying pan is not suitable for induction we will have many problems, bad comments and, possibly, product returns.

Classes of handlesand types of bottoms

CLASSES OF MANGOES If we talk about handles, in addition to the aesthetics that we choose, we have to look at the type of fastening, as well as the material with which it is manufactured. For the first, we can find two main types of fastening: handles welded to the body and joined to it by means of a screw, or handles riveted to the body. Regardless of the type of fastening, we can classify the materials in which the handles are manufactured into three large blocks: bakelite, which is a high-heat-resistant plastic, silicone that prevents the handle from getting hot, or stainless steel, a handle that reminiscent of the pans of restaurant professionals. It is common to see combinations of the above: bakelite with silicone, stainless steel with silicone ... FUND TYPES One of the premises from which we have to start is, with exceptions and very low-priced items, that the pans are valid for all types of cookers including induction. Painted or enameled steel, as well as cast iron, are already, by their own configuration, valid for all types of fires. Stainless steel, as we have mentioned, needs a capsulated heat diffuser bottom to improve heat transmission. This outer disk that contacts the fire must be of a type of magnetic stainless steel to be valid for induction cookers. To finish with the types of funds we have to talk about the funds that we can use in aluminum, regardless of the manufacturing process. Aluminum is not a magnetic metal, so if we do not put a bottom made of another material, the frying pan will not be valid for induction cookers. In this case, the usual thing is to use ferritic stainless steels of different types. Among these types we highlight the dotted bottom or the smooth bottoms with a disk that covers the entire bottom of the frying pan. There is a clear price difference between one option and another, as well as a different behavior in the induction cooker. A full bottom performs better in an induction cooker as it has more contact surface. NON-STICK What is PTFE and PFOA applied to a frying pan? Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is the non-stick, normally applied in several layers, that is used inside frying pans. Specifically, it is a non-stick polymer and it is possibly the one that gives the best non-stick results in the use of frying pans. For its part, PFOA or Perfluorooctanic Acid is one of the parts or substances that may contain (or rather contained in the past) PTFE. It is widespread that PTFE is toxic and that it contains this other carcinogenic substance, but in recent years it has been eliminated and replaced from the manufacturing process of PTFE so it is practically impossible to find pans that are not free of PFOA. In other words, the best frying pans on the market have always been PFOA free for years. More layers and thicker in addition to more hardness of the outer layer make a pan more non-stick and durable than another. On the other hand, we can nourish the last layer of the pan with mineral materials such as diamond or titanium, which will reinforce the outer contact layer. The aesthetic aspect of the marbling or color is also key for our product, in addition to being a quality product, to be liked by consumers.

In addition, we must remember in advertising, so that the end customer of the promotion does not have problems and has a product that is as durable as possible, cleaning the frying pans. It is easy to indicate that once the frying pan is used, you have to let it cool down completely and then just clean it with hot water, a soft sponge and a little soap. Some frying pans can be washed in the dishwasher, but it is best to clean them by hand to extend the useful life of the product. Once the key points of the product have been reviewed, we can start choosing the best frying pan for our promotion. From EVERIA we accompany you and advise you so that you can select the best option and we would be delighted if you contact us to accompany you in your choice.
